When we started to look at purchasing shutters for our house, we accepted that we would need to take the time to choose the right company to provide and fit them due to the fact we live in a old house where nothing is square and also that we were looking for a high quality product that would last a long time. After seeing over 5 different companies we chose Signature Shade due to the fact that Paul was not only a very likeable guy, but demonstrated a knowledge and attention to detail that nobody else did.

We initially put the project on hold for 6 months due to the fact we were considering selling our house and during this time Paul didn’t show any annoyance or disappointment and most importantly didn’t put us under any obligation whatsoever to purchase. I would just like to reiterate my comments to you in writing concerning the installation of the shutters earlier this year. We cannot remember when we have felt so delighted with a product or service.  The finish is to an extremely high standard, but what really impressed us was the care and attention taken in making sure the shutters were installed in such a way as to maximise the usage with little inconvenience. We did as most people do; had a few quotes and although we thought you would not be the cheapest we felt you would be the best as you were at great pains to ensure the finish would be exact, which is very unusual these days.  None of the other companies made the effort to ensure that the finish would be seamless, and you were the cheapest!

The installation went according to plan on the date specified with a minimum fuss, the shutters went in like a dream and the finish which took the longest, really impressed us.

You picked up on a small imperfection; which we probably would not have noticed for some time and immediately went in to action to replace the panel – such service is not the norm, sadly.

I cannot stress too strongly how pleased we are, even after having them installed 6 months ago.  They look fantastic, we also receive many comments on how expensive they look and as you say they clean beautifully!  The service you provide is what I would call old-fashioned, not in a derogatory sense, but in a good way. You treat your customers as we have forgotten how to be treated and this is so refreshing. We would have no problem in recommending your service; in fact we have on many occasions. Having requested quotes from a number of companies for shutters for my house, I was most impressed with Paul at Signature Shade. His approach was both professional and refreshing without any sales pressure.

Paul, I’d just like to say how delighted I am with the shutters that you recently fitted for me. Having previously been disappointed over my dealings with a large supplier of plantation shutters, and having vowed never to order from them again, I was looking for an alternative company to provide three sets of shutters for me. Having done some research I came across Signature Shade and fired off an email. From this beginning I was continually impressed with my dealings with you. Email and phone calls were always replied to promptly and I particularly liked the fact that you gave me a rough quote from my own measurements so that I could quickly make my mind up whether I wanted to proceed or not – so different from the ‘camping out in your sitting room till you sign the paperwork’ approach I had seen in the past.

The shutters arrived exactly on schedule and the quality of both them, and the fitting service you provided, were excellent. The fitting went off without a hitch and with the minimum of disruption – you tidied up so well it was as if you hadn’t been there. The shutters look so good I can’t remember what it looked like without them!

I’d also like to thank you for spotting and pointing out to me the hairline crack in the frame of one of the shutters. I would probably not have noticed it but you instantly said you would order another panel for me. How’s this for excellent customer-service. I recently contacted Paul of Signature Shutters by email at 08.00 before setting off for work. Around 08.30 I received a telephone call from Paul to follow up my enquiry about a damaged louvre to a bedroom shutter. This may not seem out of the ordinary, but I had originally purchased my shutters in 2006 and was unsure, given the current economic climate, if the company was still trading. True to their word a replacement louvre arrived and the appearance of my shutters was restored.
